Members
Board Composition 1- SACC board consists of nine full institutional members maximum selected by the General Assembly through secret balloting, at least three members should belong to the university forming the association 2- Board membership tenure is three years, renewable once only 3- The board may drop membership from members who absent themselves for three consecutive sessions without an acceptable excuse 4- When the membership of any of the board members selected by the General Assembly is dropped for any reason, SACC board selects a substitute member subject to the approval of the General Assembly in nearest session 5- Through secret balloting, SACC board selects one of its members as a chairman for a three-year tenure, renewable once only. The board chairman should be working for the university forming the association. The board also selects a deputy chairman, a board secretary general, and a finance secretary general 6- The board chairman will represent the association before the government and non-government institutions inside and outside the kingdom as per the valid regulations. He may preside over the General Assembly.
Board Meetings SACC board will hold an ordinary meeting every three months. This meeting will not be valid unless the majority members attend. The board may hold extraordinary meetings if required by more than half of its members, one fifth of the association members, or the board chairman. In these cases, the meeting agenda will be limited to the issues for which the meeting has been convened. The board decisions are made with the majority votes. When votes are equal, the board chairman vote will tip the balance.
Duties and Responsibilities Assumed by the Board 1- To suggest SACC budget 2- To prepare the General Assembly agenda 3- To suggest SACC general policy within the framework of its objectives and submit it to the General Assembly for approval 4- To suggest the internal regulations governing SACC course of action 5- To form ad hoc committees for performing SACC works 6- To prepare SACC annual report and forward it to the university concerned councils after being approved by the General Assembly 7- To fix members’ annual fees 8- To assign studies and research projects to concerned parties 9- To approve holding symposia, training courses, and seminars according to the relevant regulations applied by the association 10- To accept donations, grants, and aids
