General Assembly  )Composition and Meetings (

 

 

The General Assembly consists of full institutional members. It holds an ordinary meeting once a year at the invitation of the Board Chair. The meeting shall be valid if attended by the majority members. If the majority members do not show up, another meeting may be held within two weeks regardless of the number of attending members.  An extraordinary meeting may be held when necessary at the request of the board or one fifth of the general assembly members.

 Duties and Responsibilities

Generally, the General Assembly seeks to achieve SACC objectives. It is concerned with the following tasks:

1- To issue the regulations governing SACC internal course of action
2- To approve SACC annual budget and final accounts
3- To approve SACC annual report
4- To nominate board members
5- To approve the annual work plan submitted by board members
6- To investigate issues on the agenda and other issues related to SACC scope of work and take appropriate decisions
7- To select honorary chairman in the light of suggestions by the board

 

 SACC Honorary Chairman

Based on the suggestion of its board and by virtue of a decree by KSU, the General Assembly may nominate a public figure known for his interest in SACC activities as an honorary chairman for SACC for a three year – tenure. The honorary chairman is free to preside over whatever sessions he may attend.

 

 Resources and Budget

A) SACC mainly depends on its own resources such as:

1- Annual fees paid by members.
2- Revenues of SACC publications and pamphlets as well as the services rendered within SACC objectives.
3- Revenues of SACC training courses and programs.
4- Donations, grants, and aids accepted by SACC board from KSU, public and private agencies , and individuals.

B) General Budget and Final Accounts

1- SACC fiscal year starts and ends with KSU fiscal year.
2- Final accounts are prepared in accordance with professional rules and regulations.
